Patient Reviews

Dr. Rubina found that I have very severe Sleep Apnea from a Sleep Study done in August after a hospitalization for heart failure and atrial fibrillation. She compassionately and immediately had me in her dental clinic to be fitted for an oral device for sleep apnea called a Continuous Open Airway Therapy device. It is simple to put in my mouth each night and does not involve any tubes or machines. THIS DEVICE HAS BEEN ABSOLUTELY LIFE CHANGING! I have never been a morning person but now I wake up between 8:00-9:00am without an alarm! I feel alert and refreshed from my sleep instead of sluggish and foggy. My husband isn't quite sure what to do with me because after 40 years of marriage I am throwing off his morning routine! If anyone is suffering from Sleep Apnea, I would highly recommend an appointment with Dr, Rubina to be fitted with an oral sleep device rather than a CPAP machine. You will be amazed at the difference it makes in your quality of life!

As you may know, your body is a large system made up of smaller systems, all of which must work at optimum efficiency. Seemingly minor problems could be symptoms of a more serious problem. For example, if you often feel run down, experience shortness of breath or occasional chest pain, you might be tempted to chalk it up to your age, weight or just the result of stress. But you might be experiencing cardiac problems and chest pain is often a symptom in just 30% of people who suffer heart attacks. Your body sends you messages that you should not ignore and that you should discuss with your physician.
